Doors open: 7:00 pm

As a PIT volunteer, you would be canvassing outdoors in Stamford and Greenwich. Overall, PIT accounts for individuals who are staying in shelters; transitional housing; rapid re-housing; permanent supportive housing; or are unsheltered and are staying on the streets, living in a car, or camping in the woods or other places not meant for people to live.
There are thousands of individuals and families in shelter at any time, and hundreds more living without shelter in Connecticut. Only by knowing who, where, and how many people are experiencing homeless in Connecticut can we plan and identify the resources needed to best serve the most vulnerable, and ultimately move families and individuals into permanent housing.
Thank you for volunteering!
